Swine Flu ftw
My school closed down on Thursday ’cause one of our students got swine flu. I’m sorry for that kid but I’m sure he’ll be fine, with the high level of efficiency in Hong Kong and all. And ’cause of him, I have now finished Year 9 one week early.
I’m not sure whether to be happy or sad.
I mean, great, now I can get up 6 hours later everyday and watch a shitload of movies (I’ve already watched Fight Club and hey, Farah! It’s great 
), but… I would have liked to have a little warning that it was my last day of Year 9, y’know? Next year (September to be exact) marks the start of the two GCSE years (basically, important studying specifically for the examinations) and everyone’s going to have different classes. I love my class and I’m definitely going to miss having lessons only with them in it 
Strangely enough, everyone was like “This feels like the last day!” on Thursday. Loads of people had brought their yearbooks to school (my school makes this awesome end-of-year publications) to get them autographed, and teachers were starting to slack… It had all the ingredients, but no final confirmation.
Going to France & England in a week – simply can’t wait!

Ouchie. Ah, KGV right? Yeah I used to go to STC and they are thinking of closing down too I think. Two of my friends are in quarantine!! Ahhhhh. It’s kind of scary. But they should be okay.
Year 10 isn’t THAT big a change, it’s year 11 that you need to get your butt in action!! But yeah, I remember… for me year 10 was huge!!! Good luck, wow… you must be excited and scared at the same time, I know that I was.
Have fun when you go on holiday!! France is lovely, as is England but the weather in Europe isn’t fantastic at the moment. Hopefully it will have improved by the time you arrive here.
A few of the people here in Germany speak English but I might as well talk German with them… because I can. Haha. I dunno, it’s a little weird because I am so used to just speaking in English… But I dunno… It’s different, that’s all I can say.

Hahaha, yeah I’ve always wondered about Swine flu (although not quite as imaginatively as you). I always figured the people you were allowed to see would be in those astronaut suits that you see people wearing in the films when someone is seriously sick. Haha. I dunno, I asked one of my friends that is in quarantine what it’s like and she said it’s quite nice although she’s running out of stuff to do. – She’s got internet and everything… Hrm.
Well, I dunno. I always loved coursework in comparison to exams, so for me year 10 was easy and in year 11 I started freaking out. I guess it depends which you prefer! – Which do YOU prefer?
Yeah, whenever I think of France it’s always as a really artsy place… But the places I went to were really nice. I generally go to the north of France, where Mnt. Saint Michel is… It’s really pretty

Well I try speaking Cantonese but I completely fail. You can just imagine me standing there going “CHEEEE SAW HAAAAIIIII BIN DOOOOHH???” Lol. I suck THAT much. My accent is all off and I only have 3 phrases that I can say (including that one ^^)
I have no idea how people lived without internet… People living without computers is astounding enough… Imagine having to WRITE everything… No minesweeper… No Sims… Shock, horror!!

ooh we had the same scare here, and they said that if someone at our school got swine flu, the last week – finals week – would be cancelled. and i know it’s horrible of me, but i was hoping someone got swine flu so that they’d cancel finals >_>lmao.

EGGSACTLY. – White and steralised. – How can you get bored with the internet? EGGSACTLY. Haha. Ahh, great minds think a like. I tend to be on the internet all the time anyway so being in quarantine wouldn’t really be any different to my normal life. Haha.
Hahaha, yeah everyone does that with coursework but i still manage to do better on it. I guess year 10 will be the tough year for you then, what with the deadlines and stuff. Year 11 is kind of easy really. – Everyone just crams once they get study leave, but I seriously advise NOT doing that and revising before. It’s a lot less hectic if you start revision early
Ooooh. I’ve been to Disneyland in Paris… a few years ago, but still. They have an amazing ride called “Indianna Jones” which goes BACKWARDS. I was amazed; I just went on that one over and over and over… heh.
My Cantonese is AMAZING (as you can see) Hahahahha. Mm. I was always told there were 12 tones!! Still, 9 is insane. But I still maintain that Mandarin words are harder to pronounce: it’s all “shhiiirrrrrr” and stuff like that… Gah, I can’t explain!!
Yeah, I know! My mom still has a typewriter at home but at the rate she types it’s not suprising she doesn’t make any mistakes… It takes her thirty seconds to locate the key she wants to press ^^ Hahha.
No… BUT I REALLY WANT SIMS 3!!! Gah. I heard that the only annoying thing is that even when you’re at home the people in town age… Do you have it? Is it TRUE? … there must be a cheat or something for that!!
Aw that stinks that some kid got swine flu. It’s become such a joke around here because no one actually knows anyone who has it. That’s cool that you got out early though, lucky!

My summer is just boring. I’m committed to my pre-courses for year 12 and I can’t plan anything. It sucks.
